The BBC extensively covers the festivals through television programs, radio, podcasts, online content including photography and features. Episodes of The one show were filmed on site at the festivals last year. The festivals are featured on a number of programs including 'Festival Nights' that shows highlights from the various venues as well as interviews with performers. The online content seems to be focussed on bringing the events to a wider audience. we could try and design the app so that it highlights events from the smaller venues that don't get the same level of coverage. Making the app interactive so that users could upload text or pictures would allow them to share their experiences and expand the reach of every aspect of the festivals. The app could become a one stop information centre for the festivals users interact with each other sharing information.
