Backgrounds

I am going to revisit two of my tree Roald Dahl illustrations, I am happy with the Twits illustration but think the Witches and BFG need some work. I looked back at my research and found some ideas I had had that I forgot along the way. I want to use some light tones to create subtle landscapes for my characters. I am going to try adding clouds to the BFG illustration to add mystery and scale to the giant and green smoke to the Witches illustration. I think the green colour will contrast with the purple of the witch. I got the idea from the Witches film when people are turned into mice. I also want to try and create some silhouettes of background or other characters within the smoke.
